Takua Pa is an amphoe (Thai) or district as it would be called in English, in Phang Nga Province. Khao Lak is situated in the Takua Pa District, which in turn is located in Phang Nga. Takua Pa District lies on the Andaman Sea Coast and contains Khao Lak’s Lam Ru National Park to the South and Sri Phang Nga National Park to the North.
We feature many tours around Takua Pa District, there’s a real wealth of activities in the area. The town of Takua Pa is also a popular tourist attraction too and steeped in Thai culture and history. The original name of the town is Takola and it was one of the historical city states that dates back to the 13th century.
